A Change in Season
This June, carrying winter with her, has crept in slowly.
Softly so that we didn’t notice.
Those who preceded her were dry. The world around us crunchy, developing an edge that amplified the cracks of the bigger world around us. Politics, crisis, matters beyond our control. It felt heavy.

And in stepped a new season. Against the predictions, rain clouds began to gather and soft evenings crept in, bigs and littles alike, huddled around fires built for comfort. Easy mornings followed foggy starts, the rain allowing for candlelit bathtimes, sleep ins and woolen socks to make their appearance.

Comfort settled in around us in the chaos of the school term – school photos, athletics carnivals, colour runs and excursions. Tired little humans depart the school bus eager to spend their afternoons on a screen and hiding from the early sunset.

On this particular Sunday, mid-June, we snuck out early, leaving the minis snuggled up under their blankets. A loop around our little corner of the world to show you a glimpse into this universe beyond the work desk. From Coonabarabran to Gunnedah and back via Purlewaugh… a sneak of winter in our corner of the world. Ash x
